šŸ’™ A Quick Nisswa Heads-Up…
We’ve Got Some Great Things Coming!

March is keeping us on our toes—and we are here for it! šŸ’™šŸ’œĀ We have so many fun and meaningful opportunities coming up for our students to show their Warrior pride (think: special color days and community moments ✨), and we wanted to make sure you didn’t miss a thing.

The best part?Ā No need to buy anything.Ā Our incredible PTO has made sure every single student can participate—classrooms will have simple necklaces ready to go so all can be included. šŸ’™ (We’ve got you covered… just send your Warrior!)

There was just too much not to share, so we’re sneaking in a littleĀ mini Nisswa NewsĀ before the full April edition… and honestly—how is it almost April already?! Uffda! 😊

Take a quick peek below so you’re in the loop—there are some really special moments ahead for our students, and we can’t wait to experience them together. Be sure to pay attention to those classroom communications and revisit theĀ Nisswa CalendarĀ often.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and for supporting your Warrior. We are so grateful to be doing this together. šŸ’™

EPILEPSY AWARENESS DAYĀ
MARCH 26
šŸ’œOn Thursday, we will recognizeĀ Epilepsy Awareness DayĀ as a school community. Students and staff are encouraged toĀ wear purpleĀ to show support for our friends with epilepsy. A few of our special Warriors will also be deliveringĀ purple necklacesĀ so every student has something to wear and can be part of the day.

Epilepsy is a health condition that some people have. It can sometimes cause seizures, and those can look different for different people. It is not something you can catch, and many people with epilepsy learn, play, and live full, active lives.

At Nisswa, we take care of each other. We talk about how toĀ  stay calm, get an adult for help, and show kindness and supportĀ if someone is having a seizure or needs help.

We encourage you to ask your student about what they learned and continue the conversation at home. šŸ’œĀ LEARN ALL ABOUT THE DAY ATĀ Ā LEARN ABOUT THE DAY AT:Ā https://purpleday.org/about

Warrior Way Rally Friday -Ā Gear Up, Warriors! šŸ’™
alt_text
We are excited for our upcomingĀ Warrior Way Rally this Friday!Ā Students are encouraged toĀ wear theirĀ Warrior Way shirtĀ as we come together to celebrate our school community.

This month, we are recognizing ourĀ March character focus: Leadership—celebrating students who lead by example, make positive choices, and support others each day.

Looking ahead,Ā April’s focus will be Creativity, and we can’t wait to see our students continue to grow in new and exciting ways!

The attached visuals help explain how ourĀ Warrior Way systemĀ supports learning, belonging, and growth—and how students are recognized throughout the year.

ā°Ā REMINDER:Ā Please send your student in theirĀ Warrior Way shirt or blue on Friday… and if the laundry didn’t quite line up this week, we completely understand šŸ˜ŠšŸ’™

šŸ’™ World Autism Awareness Day April 2, 2026 — Wear Blue!

On April 2,Ā we recognize World Autism Awareness Day, a globally recognized day established by the United Nations to increase understanding of autism.

At Nisswa, we use this day as an opportunity to learn together and continue building a school community whereĀ everyone belongs.
Students are invited toĀ wear blue to show unity and support šŸ’™
Each classroom will also receiveĀ blue necklaces so all students can participate.
Throughout the day, staff will guideĀ conversationsfocused on:
  • Understanding that everyone’s brain works in different ways
  • Recognizing and respecting those differences
  • Appreciating the unique ways each of us sees and experiences the world

We will also take time to recognize that it is these differences that help build the strong, connected community we are so proud of at Nisswa. Each student plays an important role in making our school what it is.
While this day brings focused attention, our commitment remains the same every day—we support, include, and value every student for who they are.

[Monday, Mar 23 at 6:57 AM]
Good Monday morning,

Let’s get our Monday correction out of the way 😊 I had an error on the Future Warriors Night flyer and I apologize. The correct time is 5:00–6:30 PM on Wednesday, March 25. Thank you, as always, for helping catch things and for jumping in so quickly. It truly takes a village, and I am so grateful to be part of this one.

Now that we have that behind us, it is going to be the best week yet šŸ’™

Go Warriors!
